| Position: Administrator
Summary of Position:
- Under the general and direct supervision of the Medical
Director and the President.
- Provides for the establishment and maintenance of
liaison relations, communication, and integration of the
facility staff and services and with clients and their
families.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the development, implementation, and enforcement
of all policies and procedures, including participant
rights;
- Planning for, and administration of, the managerial,
operational, fiscal, and reporting components of the
facility.
- Participate in the quality assurance program for
participant care and staff performance.
- Ensure that all personnel are assigned duties based upon
their education, training, competencies and job
descriptions.
- Ensure the provision of staff orientation and staff
education.
- Along with the medical director, supervise the provision
of medical services.
- Advise the medical director of medical and related
problems.
- Establish relationships with appropriate personnel in
other institutions, such as hospitals, rehabilitation
centers, home health agencies, case management sites,
laboratories, clinics and related communicate resources.
This would include but not be limited to, arrangements for
emergency room services unavailable in the center.
- Coordinate all independently contracted services to be
provided within the Medical Day Care Center.
- Direct work flow to staff, allowing them to execute
their responsibilities successfully.
- Maintains proper attendance and punctuality to ensure
that the facility is operated in an efficient and cost
effective manner.
- Make a commitment to cooperative performance to attain
care, organization and programmatic objectives which may
entail performing duties not included in this job
description.
- Provide for all contracted housekeeping and maintenance
agreements required under State statutes, as well as a
system of recording keeping of said agreements with policy
for renewal as required.
Qualifications:
- Have a master’s degree from a college or university
approved by the state department of education and at least
one year of full-time, or full-time equivalent,
administrative or supervisory experience in a licensed
health care facility; or
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved college or
university and three years of full-time, or full-time
equivalent, experience in a licensed health care facility;
or
- Be a qualified health professional licensed by the state
of New Jersey, such as a nursing home administrator,
physician, social worker, licensed physical therapist,
occupational therapist, or speech-language pathologist with
at least one year of full-time, or full-time equivalent,
administrative or supervisory experience in a licensed
health care facility.
- Shall be experienced in the care of the elderly and
disabled and knowledgeable regarding their physical, social
and medical health needs.
- Must be able to write proficiently in English. Must be
able to pay attention to details, work independently and
make decisions
